Season1: The Still Quiet Place
Jude 20-21 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. NKJV
In the still quiet place, I often speak and am present to act powerfully, because human activity has ceased. It is in the quiet backwaters of life that I can do significant things that are not possible in the noisy boisterous place. Anyone can feel close to Me in a praise and worship meeting, all can be caught up in the emotion of the moment and it is rightly so and it is good and pleasing in My sight, but when the crowds have gone, when the music ceases, when you’re alone and quite before Me, will you praise Me then?
When I seem to leave you stranded on a desert isle, cut off from all your usual support mechanisms, what kind of person are you in that quiet place. This is indeed a place of testing and trial, for it reveals to you who you really are. What kind of thoughts do you have? How is your speech, how are your attitudes, what are you learning about yourself and your relationship with Me? Have you not yet learnt that it is not about outward circumstances and human activity, but rather your heart attitude towards Me that is the real issue of life?
When I seem to be the furthest away I am in fact closer than you can imagine.
Faith – Fact – Feeling; is the correct order. Your life is one of faith; daily looking to Me to fulfill all your needs. Each day is an act of faith and it is important that you talk to Me and get My priorities first before you head off in this or that direction. Put your faith into practice daily, seek My face and all will be well.
