A Time of Miracles

The miracle of the lamp of My eternal Presence burning for eight days was a sign that I was present and pleased with those whose hearts had been moved to re-establish Me as their Yahweh (God) and the object of their worship, not only individually but as a nation. They were downtrodden by cruel and sadistic taskmasters who raised up in My place, even in the buildings dedicated to Me, their own gods and had forced others to bow down to a heathen entity even demanding that they eat swine which was in clear violation of My word and My law. How was it that these demonic powers had risen to power in My Holy city desecrating the place and My Name throughout the earth? My People’s heart had grown cold towards Me and little by little they had given way to the ways of the world, the Greek world of the day and to be accepted in that society they compromised their beliefs even attempting to reverse the circumcision covenant so as to be accepted.
They had turned yet again to another god who would feed them and bring them instant gratification without having to address any issues in their lives. And all they had to do was stop worshiping Me, stop offering up sacrifices for their sins, stop supporting the Levites, just stop and become complacent and indifferent about their roots and all that made them My peculiar people.
They stopped listening to My law and stopped communicating with Me and they soon lost their way wondering why I had deserted them and left them in the power of their enemies. But it was they who had turned their back on the Glory of Israel, rebelling against Me and stubbornly refusing to cry out to Me to rescue them from their enemies.
It broke My heart to be treated this way by the people I had called by My Name. But there was always a remnant who refused to bow down to what seemed to be overwhelming odds, who continued to have faith and trust in Me although faced with daily impossibilities of ever being free again. And then they rose up against their oppressors and I caused them to succeed and they drove back the enemy, pulled down his idols and reinstituted worship to Me in My Holy tabernacle…………..part 2
