My Journey to Embracing Hebrew Roots of Christianity

I have always known and related to the Son of God as Jesus. At age 16 I invited Him into my heart and acknowledged Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I love the name Jesus and all the songs that praise His name and all that it represents in my life. However, since first visiting Israel in 1989 and discovering the Hebrew Roots of Christianity, I now find myself more comfortable using the names Yahweh (God),Yeshua (Jesus) and Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit).

This is a personal choice and I find using these names helpful in moving towards the One New Man spoken of in

Ephesians 2:14-16 For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in his flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility through it.
